Trumpeter Quentin Collins is one of Europe's most in-demand young jazz musicians, as both a freelancer and band leader. He has a wealth of experience - working with Jean Toussaint, Stan Tracey, Norma Winstone, John Surman, Tim Garland, Tony Kofi, Jim Mullen, among many others. Also an in-demand session musician, Quentin has worked with US3, Jocelyn Brown, and Lulu. For 4 years he has toured with legendary UK Soul superstar Omar, playing trumpet and keys, and was the brass voice of popular group Basement Jaxx. Quentin is currently a member of a number of jazz groups, most notably the Mike Garrick Big Band, the Dylan Howe Quintet, the Renato D'Aeillo European Quartet, and Jean Toussaint Quintet. As a bandleader, he has held a five year weekly residency at the Spitz in London's fashionable Shoreditch. Quentin lists Booker Little, Duke Ellington, Freddie Hubbard and Alex Sipiagin amongst his musical influences, and is releasing his debut album in 2007 with his quartet, titled "If Not Now, Then When?" on Sunlightsquare records.
